Terms & Conditions

“The Conference” refers to FoodMed Conference and all its concurrent activities.
In the event of natural or man-made causes that are beyond our control, Hong Kong Baptist University (the Organiser) reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event or change venue without incurring liability to attendees.
Attendees agree to allow your photo or video to be taken on-site by the official photographer and to be used for any legitimate promotional purpose by the Organisers.
All attendees are expected to conduct themselves professionally. Any form of abusive behavior will result in ejection from the Conference.
By registering to attend the FoodMed Conference, all attendees agree to be bound by, and comply with, these Terms and Conditions. It is the attendee’s responsibility to read and understand these Terms and Conditions. Attendees hereby also indemnify the Organiser against and holds it harmless from all or any loss or damage, injury, actions, proceedings or claims arising from any act or omission of the attendee during the course of the FoodMed Conference.
The Organiser reserves the right to refuse any individual’s participation in the Conference without the obligation to disclose the rationale for their decision.
Registrant may be required to furnish valid proof of identity upon request by the Organiser. Failure to provide such verification may result in the revocation of registration and denial of access to the Conference.
All Intellectual Property arising from the Conference materials shall be the sole and exclusive property of the Organisers. Attendees shall not acquire any rights to such materials, including any developments or variations thereof. Attendees are prohibited from reproducing, selling, or copying (in whole or in part) the Conference materials, except for post-conference reference purposes, without written consent from the Organisers and. Photography, audio, and video recording of the Conference are strictly prohibited without the prior written consent of the Organisers.
In the event of any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with the Conference, the terms and conditions of participation, or any other matters related to the Conference, the decision of the Organisers shall be final and binding on all parties.

Hotel Accommodation

The following hotels are located near the venue. Attendees are responsible for arranging their own accommodation if required.

Conference Language

The official language of the conference is English. However some of the presentations may be delivered in Putonghua. Simultaneous AI translation will be provided.
